Raisen Police has had great success, the interstate theft gang has been busted by the police. The thefts were revealed by SP Pankaj Pandey on Monday (September 23). The police have arrested 3 accused. Goods worth about Rs 12 lakh 40 thousand were recovered from them.

Revealing the robberies, SP Pankaj Pandey said that a vicious gang of robbers committed robberies in Gauharganj, Bareilly and Narmadapuram of Raisen district. SP said the robber’s gang used to make a racket. In which most of the colonies were targeted on the side of the highway where the houses were locked. They used to commit robberies in those houses.
Some of the associates of the robber gang used to commit robberies while other associates used to wait for them on the road in a car, after which they would park their motorbike on the road and run away in the car. This thief gang was continuously committing thefts in Betul Narmadapuram Raisen.
Three members of this inter-state robber gang have been arrested from Maharashtra. While two classmates still escaped. With the help of toll plaza and more than 100 CCTV cameras, the police analyzed the footage and identified the accused. The members of the band of robbers used to roam around the cities on bicycles during the day, attack the houses and shops and then plan and carry out the robbery.
Cases of theft: On September 17, 2024, Rs 10,000 cash and gold and silver jewelery were stolen from the house of Shravan Acharya, a resident of Kinagi Road, Bareilly. The same night, the bike of Shivraj Thakur, a resident of Maruti Nagar, was also stolen. Cash and jewelery were also stolen from Hukum Singh’s house in Maruti Nagar. The police believe that apart from Raisen, the network of this gang is spread in Narmadapuram, Betul and Itarsi districts.
