Madhya Pradesh Forest and Wildlife Conservation Workers Union has submitted a memorandum to Forest Minister Ramniwas Rawat and Chief Forest Force Officer Aseem Srivastava demanding not to recover the additional amount given in the pay band by the forest guards. The employees said that as per Recruitment Rules 2000

Union President Ramyash Maurya said that due to the difference in the pay scales of forest guards in the Madhya Pradesh Third Class Clerical Recruitment Rules 1967 and Recruitment Rules 2001, a discrepancy has arisen in the 6th pay scale. The union has been demanding one job and one pay scale for forest rangers for many years. The Madhya Pradesh Third Class Non-Clinical Forest Service Recruitment department revised 2000 on 8th September, 2014. Whereas, in view of the salary discrepancy, Chhattisgarh government has increased the pay scale of all the forest guards appointed in the Forest Department after that. the department setup approval dated March 26, 2003, to Rs 3050 on July 20, 2023. -4590 verified.
Maurya says the Finance Department has rejected the demands of the union saying that a trained forest guard is not a direct recruitment post. The recruitment of forest guards has been done on the basis of Madhya Pradesh Third Class Non-Clinical Forest Service Recruitment Rules 2000. There is no mention of trained and untrained posts for the post of Forest Guard in the said recruitment rules. The junior pay scale and the senior pay scale are specifically mentioned in Schedule 5 of the Recruitment Rules. He said it was a great irony in the department that there were two pay scales for the same job. For this reason, the forest guards appointed after 8 September 2014 are paid more than the forest guards appointed previously.
The workers said that it is a big problem that a large number of forest guards come under the scope of restoration. After a thorough investigation into this matter, all the forest guards should get equal benefits from January 1, 2006, like the government of Chhattisgarh. Only by doing this will this anomaly be rectified forever. PCCF Aseem Srivastava listened to the forest guards completely and called them again after 7 days. He has assured that every effort will be made to provide the pay scale of Rs 5680 + 1900 from January 1, 2006.
