Surendra Udana has been the State Youth Media Coordinator in BJP and was a strong ticket contender in BJP. Former minister Karnadev was also asking for ticket on Kamboj. BJP gave ticket to Ramkumar Kashyap. Karnadev Kamboj joined the Congress and Surendra Udana got a ticket from INLD-BSP.

According to political expert RP Saini, Principal of DAV College, Surendra Udana has a good vote bank and after joining the BSP, he has got a good grip on SC voters as well. Currently, INLD is in alliance with BSP and also maintains a strong hold in the Jat community. On the other hand, because Karnadev Kamboj joined the Congress, the BJP seems a bit weak here. BJP for 10 years, before that there was INLD and Congress
If we look at the political history of Indri, Congress has become MLA here 4 times. In 1967, Prasanni Devi became an MLA for three consecutive terms. In 1977, he became Desh Raj MLA of Janata Party. In 1982 and 1987, Lachhman was given the mandate of MLA from Lok Dal. In 1991, Janaki Devi became the Haryana Vikas Party MLA. She was the second MLA. In 1996 and 2000, the independent candidate Bhim Sain got the MLA control from the public.
In 2005, Rakesh Kamboj contested elections on a Congress ticket and became an MLA. INLD’s Ashok Kashyap became MLA in 2009. Karnadev Kamboj became MLA in 2014 and Ramkumar Kashyap in 2019. Rakesh Kamboj and Ramkumar Kashyap are in the fray once again and Surendra Udana is seen competing for both the candidates.
