Internet services will be suspended in all 24 districts from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, affecting mobile internet, data and Wi-Fi services. However, voice calls and landline broadband services will not be affected.

This move follows a similar decision by the Assam government, which also banned mobile internet during the Assam Direct Recruitment 2024 examination to ensure fairness.

“They learned from us, and showed that Assam is a national example,” Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma told the press in Bezra, Kamrup.

With around 650,000 candidates taking the exam, the Jharkhand government has emphasized its commitment to conduct the exam in "Free, fair and transparent" way.
