A boy drowned in a pool while playing in Nalanda on Friday. The matter is of village Durgapur under Pawapuri OP. The deceased has been identified as Bhola Kumar, 10-year-old son of late Sumit Manji, a resident of Durgapur Pyarpur.

The family members of the deceased said that Bhola Kumar left the house to play with the village children. When he did not return even after the evening, searches began for him. Then some children said that he was playing on the bank of the pool.
The family said that while playing, his feet slipped and he drowned due to entering deep water. While searching the pool, Bhola’s foot was touched and then his body was removed from the pool.

Pawapuri OP in-charge Narad Muni Singh said that on the information of death due to drowning in the pond, police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Early action will be taken upon receipt of the request. Today the police are busy investigating the entire incident.
