Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that the police team was checking vehicles under the flyover bridge located on Barnala Road in the city. He said that during this time a young man in a car came from Khairekan side, he had to come to Sirsa city.
Cash recovered during the search
The youth traveling in the vehicle has been identified as Ankur, a resident of Old Housing Board Colony, Sirsa. The Superintendent of Police said that when the police searched the young man who was traveling in the car on the basis of suspicion, cash worth Rs 2 lakh 19 thousand hidden in the car was recovered from into possession.
Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan, when asked about the cash amount, said he could not give any satisfactory answer. The police have confiscated the amount due to the election code of conduct and have informed the department in question.

Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that the district police are fully aware of security regarding the legislative elections to be held on October 5.
