Guwahati: East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team of Guwahati police seized fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth over Rs 34 lakh and arrested two suspects in connection with the seizure.

A team from the Dispore Police Station (PS) seized the large cache and arrested the suspects, Hiramul Islam (24) of Bihapuria and Nazirul Islam (19) of Lok, who were traveling in the vehicle when they were intercepted. ₹500.
In addition to the fake bills, the team also seized a fake piece of gold from the suspects’ vehicle. Legal proceedings were initiated against the accused.
