Govind Roy: Controversial promoter Bhola Paik approached the High Court seeking dismissal of the FIR filed against him for non-payment of flats. Instead of dismissing the FIR, Justice Joy Sengupta ordered a CID investigation into the case.
The investigating officer of Narendrapur police station also faced the wrath of the High Court in a case of fraud in the name of giving flats. There has long been a complaint about the construction of multi-storey buildings along the bypass. The promoter is accused of taking around 27 lakhs in cash step by step seven or eight years ago. However, in this same case, in response to the court’s question, the investigating officer concealed the information about a cash payment from the court. In view of the judge’s comment, the police do not understand what happened in one night, who gave him what instructions he told the court this information about today.

The judge also said that it is not clear why a person has kept silent for so long after paying Rs 27 lakhs seven-eight years ago. Again suddenly one late night he went to the police station and complained. And it is not clear that the police filed an FIR immediately. In this situation, an investigation into this case was given to the CID. All documents including case diaries should be handed over to Narendrapur police station from CID. In the next hearing, the CID will have to give a report on April 26. At the same time, the state has to report its opinion on this in the next hearing.
