Revenue and police teams raided Barbaspur sand ghat in Mehsmond district of Chhattisgarh. About 40 beehives were seized on the spot during illegal sand digging and transportation. Highway drivers were brought in for questioning at the police station in the city.

In this regard, Revenue Officer Umesh Sahu said that 40 traffic policemen were caught illegally carrying out digging and transportation from Barabaspur village and Sirpur area. Currently, 32 vehicles are parked at the sand ghat, while 2 vehicles are parked at the police station. The rest of the vehicle is parked on the road during the transport. The Minerals Department will take further steps.
