The incident happened at around 8am on Monday morning. Umesh’s father Ramesh Vishwakarma (23) and Vicky’s father Harishankar (24), both cousins, were returning on a bike after training from Damoh. Both were college students. As soon as the accused Raja, Golu and Sajal came down from Damoh-Sagar State Highway and came to the village in ambush, they opened fire with their pistols. Both of them were shot. He fell down from the bike. He died on the spot.
After firing here, the accused reached the house of home guard jawan Ramesh Vishwakarma (50). Several rounds were fired here, but Ramesh was not found because Manu, the son of Rajendra Vishwakarma’s relative, reached the house of the accused before they reached their house. He had brought the accused home on a bicycle after asking them to resign.
After this suddenly the accused reached Rajendra’s house. Here he cut the neck of Ramesh, a Home Guard soldier, with his sword. After this, four to five shots were fired from the pistol. The three escaped after the incident.

Hari Vishwakarma, brother of the deceased Home Guard soldier, Ramesh Vishwakarma, said, ‘A month ago, accused Raja Vishwakarma had come to the village with the car of Rocky Surekha from Damoh. At that time Rocky Surekha also came with him. Raja ran the car over my calf, because one of his legs was broken. In anger we struck the king five or six times. In fact it was not such a big dispute that they took such terrible revenge.
Ramesh Vishwakarma’s elder brother’s son, Umesh, and my son Vicky had left home in the morning on a bicycle to go to Damoh for training. Accused Raja Vishwakarma, Golu Vishwakarma and Sajal Vishwakarma riddled my son and nephew with bullets on the approach road near Damoh Sagar Road.
After reaching Rajendra’s house, he executed the accused Ramesh Vishwakarma at this very spot. Blood is spreading here.
After committing this murder, the three accused reached my house. He fired 10 to 12 shots. I was taking a bath on the terrace of the house at that time. The pistol that the accused had was made with 12 rounds of cartridges.
Before the arrival of the accused, their associate Manu, the younger son of my relative Rajendra Vishwakarma, came to my house with a bicycle. He took his brother sitting on the platform of Hanumanji with him saying that he had to resign. There the accused cut the brother’s neck with a sword. Several rounds of bullets were fired at them.
Hari Vishwakarma claims that although my relative Rajendra claims to be innocent, there is suspicion that he is also a part of the conspiracy. The accused had been called to steal my elder brother. If they are not involved in this, why did they invite the brother to their home? If he had told me, I would have kept my brother in my house and this massacre would not have happened.
Under threat of having his head chopped off in 15 days

Ramesh’s relative Rajendra Vishwakarma said on the family’s allegations – I had received a call from the accused on my son Saurabh’s mobile around 6 am. He had told Saurabh that he would kill Ramesh and his family members today. Rajendra said that Umesh and Vicky had gone to Damoh to study coaching. Rajendra told Saurabh to inform the police on 100, so that the police can stop Umesh and Vicky there, but the call on 100 was not received.
The main accused Raja had come on a bike with three others. He is currently on the run.
