Through street drama, the common people/villagers were warned/aware of the adverse effects of drug use. Through street plays, ordinary people were told that drugs destroy families and destroy lives. The members of the Sandesh Nukkad Natak presented this programme/music. He said that youth are most affected by drugs. They become addicted to it and their lives are ruined.
Many young people are caught buying and selling drugs and face prison sentences at a young age. He appealed to the common people to stay away from drugs and also advised them to be aware of it. Through street drama, people were given detailed information about the ill effects of drug use. Street drama was presented by female artists. The play depicted the disturbance and chaos in the family caused by an alcoholic husband and the habits of addiction that spread day by day in society.
At the same time, the department created awareness in different blocks of the area through LED vans / awareness by displaying audio-video messages to lead a drug-free life.
On the other hand, the District Social Welfare Department also organized awareness programs through Anganwadi workers across the area by organizing various activities on the theme “No to drugs, yes to life”.
