This action taken by the Ministry of Health was done in light of the complaint submitted to the court by the Relief Officer of the Public Complaints District. Under it the Chief Medical Officer was instructed to seal Noori Hospital, Baja Hospital, Radheshyam Chhapadia Hospital and MM Memorial among the illegal hospitals operating in Birol and submit the report.

Block chief Mukki Devi and council deputy chief Aparna Kumari jointly said that illegal hospitals operating in the area would be dealt with. Operators of such hospitals financially exploit the families of poor patients who come from rural areas for treatment, which is completely unacceptable.
