During the protest, Advocate Inderpal Singh said that Mahendragarh is a pre-natal district in Haryana, but its district headquarters has been made in Narnaul. Mahendragarh should now have the right of his headquarters. He said that new districts are being created in Haryana, because the government has set up a committee of four ministers. But not a single minister from Mahendragarh and Rewari districts was included in that committee.
Secondly, the Chief Minister has also announced to make Gohna a district, but the Chief Minister has not taken any steps to give headquarters to Mahendragarh and make Narnaul a separate district. Social worker Ramnivas Patoda said the state government has formed a committee to create new districts. No minister and MLA from Mahendragarh and Rewari districts were included in this committee. Our demand is that Narnaul should be made a separate district and the headquarters of Mahendragarh should be given to them.
The former president of the Bar Association, Bansilal Yadav, said that the people of districts like Assandh, Manesar, Hansi, Gohana did not even demand to be made a district, the government is making them a district, which is Mahendragarh, the mother of all areas, where Dadri and Rewari have been built, today they yearn for development. We are thinking of starting a strong movement and opening the eyes of the government so that Mahendragarh can have the headquarters. This will continue until their demands are met.
SDM Sanjeev Kumar said that various organizations today gave a memorandum regarding the demand for the headquarters and also demanded that the people of this area should also be kept as members of the state level committee.
