In Morena, a team of Civil Line Police Station and Forest Department caught a dumper filled with illegal Chambal River sand at night. The dumper driver was carrying illegal sand on Mumbai’s Agra Highway when the forest department and the police caught him. Seeing the team the dumper driver fled the spot.

After that he was brought to Dumper Civil Line police station in the night itself and detained. Now the Forest Department will take steps to confiscate this dumping. Let us tell you that sand mining and transportation is prohibited in the Chambal National Crocodile Sanctuary. The dumper was filled with 14 cubic meters of Chambal sand. The value of the seized vehicle is said to be around Rs 22 lakh.
