The police then arrived at the scene and questioned them and the deceased child’s maternal aunt confessed to her crime. The police then arrested the accused maternal uncle. The arrested woman was identified as Kufa Devi, a resident of Nakipur village in Koda police station area. The deceased has been identified as Prince Kumar (04), son of Subodh Thakur, a resident of Barjahalla in Paranpur police station area.

The deceased boy was murdered on June 18 at his maternal grandfather’s house in the village of Nakipur. During the investigation, the body of that innocent boy was found in a small tub filled with water near the toilet built in the house. The family members covered up the incident and buried the body of the innocent boy in the same village of Mahadev Nagar. night.

An aunt revealed the murder in police custody
When accused Pooja’s aunt revealed the reason for the murder, a shocking incident came to light. She said that she was very jealous of the growing love between Nana Pratap Thakur and the innocent prince. He used to give toffee cookies to his grandson Prince after returning from the market, while Nana Pratap Thakur had no affection for his two granddaughters. Seeing this, her aunt burned in her heart.
Therefore, on the evening of June 18, when the boy’s mother, his sister-in-law was sleeping and the maternal uncle went to his living room. Taking advantage of this opportunity, he murdered the innocent prince who was playing outside by suffocating and drowning him in a tub full of water near the toilet.
Revealed after an autopsy
DSP Dharmendra Kumar said the woman taken into police custody is Pooja Kumari, who is the maternal aunt of the deceased boy. He admitted to carrying out the incident. On his orders, the dead boy’s body was removed from the pit and sent for a post-mortem. Further actions are taken by sending the woman to jail.
