Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jharkhand K. Ravi Kumar reviewed the preparations for the short voter list revision drive through video conferencing with all DEOs and District Returning Officers of the state on Friday. CEO said – In the special short review program of voter list by Election Commission of India from June 25, all the BLOs will have to go door to door to review the voter list. The names of young men and women who turn 18 on July 1 will be added to the voters list.
Old card will be replaced, new card will also be made
The CEO said – During the special short review program of voter list, colored voter lists will be issued to all BLOs. The old laminated card will be replaced matching that list. If someone’s photo is not clearly visible in the new list, there is a provision to change that card as well. By July 1, DC will provide the list of polling stations to the CEO’s office where the number of voters is more than 1500. In urban areas, only inside housing societies that have more than 500 voters booths will be built.
Appeal for voting against Elections: Chief Executive Officer has appealed – Those people whose names are not on the voter list during the Voter Review Program or need any kind of correction, then in such a situation, do immediate application online or through BLO, so that the future Can exercise franchise in the assembly elections.
