GUWAHATI: NTPC Bongaigaon has embarked on a major initiative to strengthen healthcare services in MON district, Nagaland, with the launch of a project valued at Rs 98.6 lakh as part of its corporate social responsibility. This project includes the supply of two advanced ambulances for advanced life (ALS) and two hearses, which aim to improve the emergency medical response and health facilities in the area.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for this project was recently signed, in an online ceremony. Shri Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, District MON, signed on behalf of the District Management, while Shri Onkar Nath, Head HR from NTPC, Bongaigaon represented NTPC as signatories.
The event was attended by Shri Akhilesh Singh, Project Head, Bungaigaon, Dr. Deepain Paul, Chief Medical Officer, NTPC Bungaigaon, Shri Paresh Mathur, AGM (TS), Shri Rakesh Kumar, AGM (EEMG) highlighting NTPC’s commitment to the holistic development of North East India.
Shri Akhilesh Singh emphasized NTPC’s dedication to sustainable development and its role as a responsible corporate citizen contributing positively to the communities it serves. Dr. Dipayne Paul emphasized the significance of the ambulances and hearses in ensuring timely medical assistance and dignified treatment of mortal remains, thus improving the infrastructure of health services in MON province.
Shri Ajit Kumar Verma expressed his gratitude to NTPC for their generous contribution, and acknowledged the impact this project will have on improving healthcare accessibility in MON district. He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in meeting critical community needs and fostering sustainable development.
This initiative is part of NTPC’s efforts, reflecting its commitment to support healthcare infrastructure and overall community well-being in Northeast India.
