Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated an Atal Setu in Maharashtra in January this year. This bridge built at a cost of Tk 17,840 crore is also known as the longest sea bridge in the country. But within six months of its establishment, cracks appeared in that bridge. This is the complaint of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress President Nana Patol. Not only that, Patole also raised questions about the safety of passengers due to this crack in Atal Setu. Patole went to Atal Bridge to check the crack in the bridge, he said, that Modi-Shahra is insulting the great leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee by building a bridge in his name. However, the Maharashtra government rejected the issue of cracks in the bridge. Government representatives visited the area after receiving the complaint about a fund. They said not in the fixed bridge, but in the service road that connects the bridge to the city. Atal Setu Project Head Kailash Ganatra said that this service road was temporarily constructed at the last minute as there was no road along the sea. Not only that, Gantra further claimed that this crack appeared due to rain and assured that it would be repaired by Saturday night.
