There is good news for the candidates who want to become teachers in Jharkhand. The state government is going to conduct the fourth Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) this year. This inspection will be carried out in accordance with the new rules. The new rules have recently been approved.

Now the process of conducting the exam will begin. Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council. The School’s Education and Literacy Department has given instructions to the Council regarding the examination. It is reported that applications for this can be received in July. After this, the applications will be scrutinized and then the exam will be taken in October.

This time the exam will be two and a half hours instead of three hours and the exam will be taken based on new rules. The rules for the teacher competency test have been changed for the fourth time.

The teacher qualification test will be held in accordance with new rules

This year Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be conducted on new rules. In the new rules, candidates falling in the reserved category will be relaxed in the percentage of marks. Along with this, the exam time has been reduced. The teacher qualification test for classes six to eight will be 2.30 hours.

Talking about relaxation in the percentage of marks, then ST, ST, BC 1, BC 2 and physically disabled category candidates will get five percent relaxation. Candidates from tribal groups who have been placed in the specially vulnerable category will get seven percent relaxation.

In the current rules, there is provision to give 2.30 hours for primary classes 1 to 5, three hours for upper primary classes 06 to 08 and 30 minutes of additional time for visually impaired people. In the new rules, there is provision to give 2.30 hours of extra time for primary classes 1 to 5, 2.30 hours for upper primary classes 06 to 08 and 30 minutes of extra time for visually impaired people.

In the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test Manual – 2019, it has been said that the certificate of the candidates who pass the exam according to this manual will be valid for seven years only. Now this thing has been removed in the new rules that have been made. Now the validity of the certificate will last for life.
