Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took a side-by-side cruise in a Russian-made Aurus limousine on Wednesday, with Putin giving Kim one of the luxury vehicles, reports said.
Putin gave Kim a luxury car
In a PR opportunity held amid tight security, sources said the two leaders used the moment to show how close their bond was during Putin’s lavish visit.
The two traveled by car after the two leaders signed an agreement that included a joint defense pledge, one of Russia’s most significant moves in Asia, which Kim described as an “alliance”.

Kim is traveling in Putin’s official car
A video released by Russian state television showed Putin traveling in a black armored Auras, his official Russian presidential car, with Kim sitting next to him in the passenger seat.
The car is then shown driving down the road, continuing to make its way through a landscaped park area before coming to a stop. A Korean man wearing white gloves was seen on television opening the door for Kim.
The bond between the two countries is even stronger
Putin and Kim are then shown walking side by side and both appear to be engaged in a very deep discussion, talking to each other.

Kim, owner of Auras Limousine
The Russian leader gave Kim a Russian Auras limousine, a Putin aide said on Wednesday.
Putin gave Kim his first Auras limousine in February this year, and now owns at least two vehicles.
The Auras Senat, retro-styled after a Soviet-era ZIL limousine, is Russia’s official presidential car, and is the same car Putin arrived in for his most recent Kremlin inauguration in May.
Kim has luxury cars despite the ban
When Kim visited eastern Russia in September last year, Putin showed him a vehicle. Sources said Kim enjoyed sitting next to Putin in the car.
