Supreme Court Stays Criminal Proceedings Against Haryana Ireo Group Md Oberoi Realty In Fraud Case – Amar Ojla Hindi News Achi-News

In a major relief to IREO Group CEO Lalit Goyal and Oberoi Realty Limited Chairman and CEO Vikas Oberoi, the Supreme Court stayed the criminal proceedings against them in the fraud and forgery case. The vacation bench of Justice PV Sanjay Kumar and Justice Augustine George ‘ Masiya issued a notice to the Haryana government.

Ban was imposed on the order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court

In fact, Lalit Goyal and Vikas Oberoi filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the June 6 order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. While hearing this petition, the Supreme Court bench stayed the criminal proceedings against both of them pending further orders. While issuing the order, They said in the rating, “The question is whether the submission of the second complaint was an abuse of procedures and whether the complainant submitted the petition to the court with good faith intentions, this must be ascertained. Until then the criminal proceedings related to the FIR will remain on hold.

What are the allegations against both of them

The FIR was registered against Lalit Goyal and Vikas Oberoi at the DLF Phase 2 Police Station on the orders of the Chief Judicial Magistrate. This action was taken against both of them due to the complaint of fraud and forgery by Advance India Project Limited (AIPL). According to the FIR, IREO Group and Oberoi Realty are accused of defrauding investors. Besides, both are also accused of defrauding AIPL. According to the complaint, both took 1,777 million rupees from the investors in exchange for giving them land and sent them out of the country. Of this, 1,376 million rupees were taken as advance from investors.

AIPL claims IREO group collected Rs 400 crore from 70 investors in the name of Grand Hyatt Residency Project, Chandigarh. An agreement was signed with the AIPEL group to complete this project. The Eiffel Group suffered a loss of thousands of crores of rupees due to the fraud. In this matter, a case was registered according to sections 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-b of the PSAD.
