According to reports, Shalin Behanut will replace Hussain Kwajaruwala as the host for the upcoming season of Indian Idol.

Meanwhile, rumors are now rife that Shalin is going to replace Hussain Khwajarewala as the host for the upcoming season of Indian Idol. According to Talikar, auditions for the singing reality show are currently taking place. The show is expected to go on floors starting in September. According to reports, the producers of Indian Idol are looking for a fresh face in the upcoming season. Looking at Shalin’s popularity, spontaneity and lively personality, the makers are eager to bring him up as the host of the show.
A source close to the production shared, “Last season was anchored by Hussain Kwajarwala, but the producers are looking for a fresh face this year. Shalin was a top choice as he may not have hosted a reality show before being spontaneous and lively, which was a top requirement for the creators.”
Shalin Bhanut was last season offered Khatron Ke Khiladi by host Rohit Shetty after he won the task in the Bigg Boss 16 house. So, Shalin refused to be a part of the show because of his fear of a creepy crawly. However, the actor has agreed to be a part of the upcoming season and is reportedly among the strongest contestants as he is appreciated by the host.
Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14 features Krishna Shroff, Gashmeer Mahajani, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Abhishek Kumar, Shilpa Shinde, Asim Riaz, Aashish Mehrotra, Karan Veer Mehra, Niyati Fatnani, Aditi Sharma and Sumona Chakravarti.
For those unaware, Shalin Behanut has been a part of several reality shows in his acting journey, starting with Roadies 2, Nach Baliye 4 with his ex-wife Dalihit Kaur and Bigg Boss 16. Now, it will be interesting to see Shalin’s hosting skills in Indian Idol 15.
