Karachi: The medical report of the injured camel, whose leg was amputated in Sanghar, has been issued by the Medical Board, ARY News reported.

According to a report available on ARY News, the camel is apparently healthy but suffering from severe blood deficiency.

The director general of the Institute of Health Sciences, Dr. Nazir Hussain, headed the medical committee.

According to the medical report, the camel should receive continuous treatment until his blood parameters return to normal. In addition, the report also recommended giving the camel a balanced diet, fresh grass and animal feed until its wounds heal.

The report also suggested giving the camels multivitamins and iron supplements. “The camel should be cared for and monitored regularly under animal observation,” the report said.

The report also recommended blood transfusion of the camel.

A homeowner in Sindh’s Sangar district allegedly cut off a camel’s leg as punishment for rummaging into his field in search of fodder.

According to the police, the incident took place in Mond Jamro village of Sanghar district on Friday.

Somer Khan, the camel’s owner, narrated the incident along with his camel at the Sanghar Press Club. “I have no animosity towards anyone. I don’t know why this was done to my camel,” he said.
