Thursday is pretty much the longest day of the year, and Calgary soccer fans are hoping it won’t be an equally long night when Canada’s men take on Argentina in Atlanta.
This is the Canadian men’s first match of the 2024 Copa America campaign, and they could not have had a more challenging opponent than the defending World Cup champions.
Hundreds of Calgary soccer fans will be on hand to cheer on the Canadian men Thursday night at the Calgary West Soccer Centre, located at 11014 Bearspaw Dam Rd. NW
Doors open at 4:30pm, with kick off set for 6pm It’s a family friendly event and part of the 20 year celebration.ed anniversary of the West Calgary Soccer Centre.
Organizers say they expect hundreds of people to attend the viewing party, which will include a Calgary Football Association-sponsored mini soccer field, a kick tunnel and other activities. There will also be a photo booth and swag giveaways throughout the game.
