According to the information, 34-year-old Pawan Kumar, who lives in Sherpura village, used to work as a canal guard. His duty was on Ban Mandori Minor. On Wednesday night, Pawan had gone for duty riding a bike. At 5.30am on Thursday, the family members were informed that Pawan had fallen down on Gadli Road. After this the family members reached the spot and picked up Pawan and took him to the hospital. Here the doctor pronounced him dead.
Deceased Pawan’s elder brother Ramniwas says he was a JBT teacher in Chandigarh. While going for night duty, Pawan’s bike was hit by an unknown vehicle. Because of which Pawan died. Investigating officer Rajendra Singh says that on Ramnivas’ statement, a case has been registered against the unidentified driver under section 279/304 A of the IPC. The post-mortem of the body was conducted on Thursday afternoon and handed over to the family members.
