The Supreme Court issued a notice to the parties concerned about the petition filed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and others. In the petition, a demand was made to transfer the petitions related to the National Eligibility Test with Honors (Graduate)-2024 from the High Court to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court delayed the proceedings before the High Court in these cases. The Supreme Court reiterated that it will not stop the consultation process.
At the same time, the Supreme Court published a statement on Thursday and asked for answers from the Center, NTA and others as well. The notice was issued on petitions seeking cancellation of NEET-UG 2024 and a court-supervised inquiry into alleged irregularities in the medical entrance examination. The vacation bench of Justices Vikram Nath and SVN Bhatti fixed July 8 for hearing these petitions.
