A young man died under suspicious circumstances in Turha Tuli of Shahpur police station area in Danapur. The deceased has been identified as Suryakant Kumar alias Gulu, 27-year-old son of Ashok Prasad of Torha Tuli. Suryakant, who died four days ago, is said to have returned from Chennai for work.

On Wednesday evening, a friend named Aditya called him from home and took him away. The younger brother of Nikant alias Bittu said that his brother returned home from Chennai on Sunday evening. On Wednesday I just returned home after buying vegetables from the market. Shahpur Police Station Superintendent Manish Kumar Anand said that on looking at the body it appears that death occurred due to excessive consumption of drugs. The cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report is released. After the written request is received by the family members, steps will be taken on this basis.
