AMAZON just dropped prices on its budget-friendly Fire TVs, and there’s one in particular that’s causing a stir.
The 50-inch Fire TV Omni QLED has dropped from £649.99 to £449.99, and shoppers are rushing to snap it up.

I came across this find in Amazon’s Appliance Movers and Shakers series, where they feature items that have suddenly skyrocketed in popularity.
In just the last 24 hours, sales of this QLED TV have jumped 55%.
Those sales seem to be invigorating as Amazon has slashed prices across its Fire TV range, allowing you to get the 50-inch Fire TV Omni QLED for a sweet £200 off.
This model is the star of the Fire range, with 4K Quantum Dot Display technology, making every scene vibrant, with true colors that rival even more expensive QLED TVs from top brands like Samsung.
The equivalent 50in Samsung Q60D QLED, which normally costs more than £700, is now available for £569 in the sale.
But, even at this discounted price, it’s still almost £220 more expensive than our top pick.
With Amazon technology, you get top-of-the-line features at a fraction of the cost, including the convenience of hands-free control through Alexa.
Just ask Alexa to discover, start and manage your entertainment, and stream your favorite shows from Netflix, Disney+, and of course, Prime Video.
However, it is not the only player in the voice recognition game. Sky provides a popular alternative.

The 50-inch Omni earns a solid 4.1 out of 5 stars, drawing credit from buyers for its impressive picture quality, value and sound.

It is important to address some of the concerns raised by buyers, many of whom pointed to problems with performance glitches and poor sound quality.
While I can’t speak to the specifics of this model, I’ve personally owned a 32-inch Fire TV 2-Series for over 18 months.
During my time with the TV, I only encountered a performance glitch once, when the picture failed to come up with the sound. But, I quickly solved it with the trusty on and off technique.
Overall, I’m a fan of Amazon’s Fire TVs – they offer excellent value for money given their reasonable price points. All the more so when they are on sale, like now.
