Towards the acceleration of production, another achievement was achieved by the successful execution of the flying tundish exercise on June 14 at BSP’s CV-2 metal steel 3 shop. Tundish flight helps maintain consistent production. When a tundish is used in continuous casting, a tundish flight is used to continue casting. This feat was achieved within a period of 7 days from the start of normal production from CV-2 wheels. The successful operation of Tundish Flying in the first attempt is the result of the exemplary spirit of the SMS-3 team to accept new challenges. Let us announce that Caster CV-2 which was primarily ordered as an empty beam caster has been converted to a combi-caster capable of casting both a boom and an empty beam. This change was made to meet the growing need of Bloom of URM. The first bloom heat was produced from Castor CV-2 on May 14th, followed by the production of three rail blooms on May 30th.
