According to the police, Nidhi first tried to kill her husband by causing an accident in October 2021. When he did not die, Nidhi also tried to kill him. The deceased’s brother, Pramod, said that Nidhi used to administer medicines to a helpless Vinod after his legs were amputated. Meanwhile, he had given Vinod an overdose or slow poison. Because of this he suffered two consecutive attacks in November 2021, but survived. He started fighting with Vinod daily.
After this, in the evening of 5 October 2021, Vinod was murdered by having bullets fired from Shooter Dev at the gate of Paramhans Kutiya in Panipat. In this case while waiting in court, Nidhi did not testify for two and a half years. In March 2024, he had refused to charge Dev’s shooter before the court.
Nidhi’s brother knew about Sumit
Pramod Bharada said that Vinod used to keep Nidhi’s brother Vaibhav Dutt with him. He had also given him a job at his Hartron Centre. After Vinod’s murder, Vaibhav started handling that work. Nidhi’s boyfriend Sumit started coming here.
He also threatened Vaibhav to leave the centre. Vaibhav had also told his family about this. Three months after the murder, Sumit started coming to Nidhi’s house. Gradually he also took Vinod’s bike and car. Which he personally used.

Nidhi was very cunning. She did not want to inform her husband Vinod about her illicit relationship under any circumstances. Sometimes when the husband checked the phone, no call history was found. Once Vinod saw his Facebook messenger and found him chatting with Sumit there.
