Seniors in Alberta will get a break if they need a medical to renew their driver’s license.
The Alberta government gives seniors a 25 percent discount on a driver’s medical exam.
It’s something they have to do to ensure they’re eligible to drive at age 75, 80 and every two years after that.
Alberta Health Care does not cover the cost of the exam, which is conducted by a doctor or nurse practitioner.
Once seniors submit the proof to a registry, the registry will process a refund, which will appear in the mail within 10 days.
