Narwana CIA Police in Jind, Haryana, have caught a drug smuggling woman and her husband with 12 grams of heroin in Rewar village. The arrested have been accused as Rakesh and Rekha, residents of Rewar village. The police registered a case against both of them and interrogated them

According to DSP Amit Kumar, Narwana CIA police team led by ASI Avtar Singh was present near Datasinghwala village. The team got information that Rakesh and his wife Rekha, who live in Rewar village, are smuggling drugs and currently they are going to come to Datasinghwala on a bike from Rewar. On this, the police immediately formed a team for the raid and started keeping an eye on the vehicles coming and going.
Meanwhile, a woman and a man were seen coming on a bike near the Rajbaha bridge. The police stopped the two on suspicion and searched them and found intoxicants in their possession. After this, the Duty Magistrate Tehsildar Uchana Nikhil Singla was called and in his presence a polythene was found from the pallu of the chunri covered by the woman, where 12 grams of heroin was recovered.
Earlier also, a case of selling narcotics was registered against the woman Rekha. The police have registered a case against the two under various sections including the NDPS Act and have started an investigation.
