The rising heat in various states of India is proving to be a boon for the tourist destinations of Himachal Pradesh. Tourists are constantly moving to the mountains to escape the extreme heat. These days, every tourist coming to Manali goes towards Rohtang Pass and 1200 vehicles come to Rohtang Pass daily. NGT has given permission to 800 petrol vehicles and 400 diesel vehicles to ply here daily. In such a situation, tourists need to take a permit to reach Rohtang Pass. The gathering of tourists is also seen in other areas close to the tourist town of Manali. If we talk about it, in the month of April, 30,000 tourist vehicles from outside countries arrived in Manali. So this figure became 60000 vehicles in May. The tourism department received more than one million rupees in tax in May
Apart from this, more than 1000 vehicles reach Manali daily from different districts of the country. Because of this, the tourism department also earns a lot of revenue through green tax. In the month of May itself, the tourism department has earned an income of Rs 36 lakh 84 thousand crores through the green tax levied in Manali and with this amount, various types of facilities are provided to tourists at various tourist spots. The District Tourism Development Officer, Sunaina Sharma, said that the number of tourists is continuously increasing and the arrival of tourists continues even in the month of June. Due to the rains in July and August, the number of tourists decreases considerably. In such a situation, it is expected that the tourist places of Kolo district will remain bustling with tourists throughout the month of June.
