Maharashtra Chief Minister Ekanth Shinde has expressed surprise at the allegations of EVM tampering in the northwest Mumbai constituency. He asked the question whether doubts are being raised about EVMs because his party’s candidate won from this Lok Sabha seat? In fact, earlier Shiv Sena candidate Ravindra Wekar defeated Shiv Sena-UBT candidate Amul Kirtikar from Mumbai North West constituency by a margin of 48 votes. After this election result, there were allegations that EVMs were tampered with by using mobile phones during the counting of votes. Reacting to this, Ekanth Shainda said why questions are not raised about the results of every other Lok Sabha seat in the country?
