Puber Kalam, Web Desk: Padma Shibir turned heads in Maharashtra. The Prime Minister created a publicity storm to seize the victory. After the results are announced, BJP seems to have only 9 seats. NCP(SP) supremo Sharad Pawar thanked Modi for this victory of the opposition camp.

Leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), an anti-BJP alliance in Maharashtra, met at a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday. Other leaders including Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray and Prithviraj Chauhan were present at this press conference.

Alliance leaders thanked the citizens of the country for their support for MVA on this day. Prithviraj told reporters present, “After the results of the Lok Sabha polls, a change in the Maharashtra government is imminent.” Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray said: “This election was a fight to defend the constitution and democracy.” He also said that the party changers will not be returned to the party. Thackeray announced that this alliance will contest unitedly against the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader took a dig at the government at the Center and said: “This government was the Modi government and now it is the NDA government. Now we have to see how long this government survives.”

Senior Maharashtra leader Sharad Pawar took a dig at Modi and said: “The Prime Minister’s election campaign ensured our victory.” Wherever Narendra Modi held roadshows and rallies, we won. My thanks to the Prime Minister for turning the political winds of Maharashtra in the anti-Alliance direction.”

Political circles have blamed the poor state of affairs of the BJP alliance in Maharashtra on the party’s divisive game in the past. First, by breaking the Uddhav-led Shiv Sena and bringing Shind to the BJP, forming a separate Shiv Sena and breaking the government. On the other hand, breaking Sharad Pawar’s NCP and attracting Ajit Pawar to them. The political circles claim that the common people have not taken kindly to this political conspiracy of the BJP to break the government. The results of this were seen on the ballot. BJP got only 9 seats in Maharashtra this time, Shiv Sena (Shainda) got 7 seats and NCP (Ajit Pawar) got 1 seat. On the other hand, Congress got 13 seats, Shiv Sena (Udhab) 9, NCP (Sharad Pawar) 8 seats.
