Darbhanga MP Dr Gopal G Thakur met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in New Delhi on Saturday. As per the tradition of Thila, he was felicitated with pag and cheddar and congratulated him on his golden tenure.

The MP discussed in detail with the Union Minister the implementation and progress of various ongoing railway projects in Mithila, including Darbhanga. Please complete all projects on time. According to him, the number of railway projects approved in Darbanga in the last five years has become a record in itself.

MP Dr. Thakur said that for the first time after independence in Darbhanga, approval was given for the construction of ROB at 5 Level Crossings (Gumti). He said that 83 million at Chatti Gumti (Level Crossing Gate No. 21), about 61 crore at Delhi Mod Gumti (Level Crossing Gate No. 2), about Rs.67 crore at Pandasarai Gumti No. 18), about Rs.67 crore for construction of Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at Gumti (Level Crossing No. 28) at cost of about Rs.127 crores.near Laheriasarai railway station at a cost of Rs.5.23 crores is being done at a very fast pace.

At the same time, construction of a light ROB at Gomti Museum (Level Crossing Gate No. 26) will start soon at a cost of Rs 8.98 crore. The MP said the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has converted Darbhanga station at a cost of Rs 314 crore, Sakri station at a cost of Rs 20 crore and Lahriyasrai station at a cost of Rs 15 crore as world-class modern stations. Under the Amrit Bharat Yojana permission has been given for full development. Where is the complete development work of the Hariyasarai and Sakri railway station being carried out. At the same time, work on the Darbhanga railway station will begin soon.

MP Dr. Thakur said that the work of the new bypass railway line under construction between Kakargati-Shishu at a cost of Rs 253 million is in the final stage. At the same time, the work on doubling the Darbhanga-Samastipur railway line at a cost of Rs 519 million is also going on at a fast pace .He also asked the railway minister to start the work on other new railway lines which have been approved and are in progress in Darbhanga soon.

The MP said that the construction of ROB on Donar Gomti Railway at a cost of Rs 134 crore has been approved by the Ministry of Railways. According to him, along with the first Amrit Bharat train in the country, Darbhanga has been awarded many more new trains. The MP said that in the last ten years, due to the far-reaching thinking and determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, there has been an unprecedented change and golden development in the infrastructure and passenger facilities of Indian Railways. This effort is ongoing.

The MP said that in his second term, while promoting the goal of a developed Darbhanga, he would try to get many more new projects approved for the benefit of the public and also complete all the currently approved projects on time.
