A man died of his injuries in hospital Friday evening, hours after he was involved in a collision in Frampton, Beauvais, about 70 kilometers south of Quebec City.

The accident happened late Friday afternoon on Route 275 in Frampton.

While driving north, the 50-year-old allegedly deviated from his lane and collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

The emergency services were contacted at around 17:15 and they quickly arrived on the scene. It appears that the man was seriously injured in a life-threatening situation.

It appeared that the driver of the other vehicle involved, a man in his 20s, was also seriously injured, but the paramedics did not fear for his life.

Both were taken to the hospital.

Highway 275 reopened to traffic in the area on Saturday morning.

The cause of the collision is still unknown and is being investigated by the SQ.
