According to the police, Swati Gaurav (32) is an officer of an organization called People for Animals. His organization works for animals and street dogs. He told police he received a video through social media. In which the young man was seen beating a street dog with a rod. After verification, the video was found to be from Riddhi Siddhi Colony of Piplani. The person seen attacking in the video has been identified as Rajesh Yadav.
He used to sit in the courtyard every day, that’s why he was beaten.
A street dog that was wandering in the colony started sitting in the courtyard of the accused’s house every day to hide from the sun. Seeing this, the accused brutally beat a dog sitting in the courtyard with a stick. Swati says the dog suffered serious injuries to its waist and legs due to the fight. The police have registered a case against the youth who has been charged under the Cruelty to Animals Act.
