Chief Minister Punjab launched the Traffic Response Unit in Lahore
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Traffic Response Unit in Lahore.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister, Miriam Nawaz, visited the vehicles of the traffic response unit, spoke with the director, inquired about training and other matters, she also watched the announcement in case of a traffic jam.
After the launch of the traffic response unit, a special meeting on traffic management was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which the prime minister set a target date for improving traffic flow in Lahore.
In the meeting it was decided to remove the carriages blocking the flow of traffic, the Punjab Chief Minister ordered to provide an alternative place for the carriages.
The Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, also ordered to ensure discipline in the lane in all cases and conduct an awareness campaign to ban rickshaw and motorcycle lanes.
During the meeting, the implementation of the intelligence traffic signal management system in Lahore was reviewed, while effective and sustainable planning to prevent road encroachment.
The Chief Minister, Miriam Nawaz, also ordered the restoration of the screens that were installed for directing traffic.
In the meeting, CTO Amara Azhar said during a briefing that the special traffic response unit will reach the traffic jam area on the 15th call, the special unit consisting of 50 heavy bikes and 100 guards will take immediate action to clear the traffic.
The briefing also stated that the traffic response unit was also given a first aid course from the Red Crescent, an announcement system and a first aid booth will also be installed on each motorcycle and the traffic inspector will also record using a special camera.
It should be noted that on this occasion Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Information Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, IG Dr. Usman Anwar, Commissioner Zaid Bin Maksud, Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider, CCPO Bilal Kamyana, Tipa, Saif were present.
