An increase in the wages of these workers
According to Dr. Sanish Chandra, Public Relations Officer of SECL, the employees whose VDA has been increased by Coal India. They include the category of supervisor, clerk, operator, mining head and labor class.
He said that 2 lakh workers working in Coal India will benefit from the hike in VDA. Each employee’s salary will increase by 2 to 3,000 rupees per month.
Will be fixed again in September
According to official information, the order to increase the VDA by Coal India will be effective from June 1 to August 31, 2024. After that it will be updated again in September.
