He said that last time BJP won more than 300 seats but this time it got 240 seats. BJP could not even get majority this time. BJP took the biggest hit from Uttar Pradesh. The ruling party will get more votes but the people of our country are very intelligent. He felt that votes were being sought in the name of the temple, so he taught the party a lesson and had to face defeat. Let us tell you, Ayodhya comes under Faizabad Lok Sabha seat. From here, BJP candidate and two-time MP Lalu Singh was defeated by Avdesh Prasad of SP by 54,567 votes.

Pawar further said that BJP was seeking votes in the name of the temple. We were afraid of it but the people of Ayodhya showed how to fix temple politics. In the last ten years, the people in power became arrogant, but the people of Ayodhya brought them back down to earth.
