The matter pertains to Bhagwanpur village under Maharajganj police station in Balrampur. Where the newly married woman’s body was found hanging from a hook inside a closed room. The woman’s husband, Pramod, told the police that my wife Urmila had done something untoward by locking the room from inside. The police arrived at the scene and broke the door of the room and found the woman’s body hanging from the hook.

Giving information on the matter, Purushottampur Prakash Verma, a resident of Tulsipur police station, said that his daughter Urmila was married to Pramod Verma’s son, Kishan Verma in Bhagwanpur village 2 years ago according to Hindu customs. On Saturday, information came over the phone from Pramod Verma’s son-in-law that the daughter Urmila had died. The girl’s father, Prakash Verma, has accused his in-laws of harassing her.
Giving information on the matter, Inspector in charge of Maharajganj police station, Girijesh Tiwari, said that the police arrived after the information, took possession of the body and sent it to the Chief Minister. The police investigation is looking into the matter.
