A heavy tax has been imposed on properties in the federal capital, Islamabad, which has been notified by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

According to the notification issued by CDA, a heavy property tax has been levied annually on plots in sectors and housing associations. According to the notification, a tax of 24 thousand has been imposed on plots up to 140 square yards in Shahzad Town, Margalla Town and Rawal Town, while a property tax of Rs 180 thousand has been imposed on farmhouses up to 8 kanals.
