Along with MNS chief Raj Thackeray, BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde also reached Amit Shah’s house.

Uddhav Thackeray’s brother Raj Thackeray met Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Tuesday for about half an hour. There is talk that ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, his party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) may join hands with the BJP clan’s NDA. There is also talk of giving the Mumbai South Lok Sabha seat to Raj Thackeray in Maharashtra.

Earlier in the morning, BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde arrived at the hotel to meet Raj Thackeray in Delhi. After some time, both the leaders came out from there and left for Amit Shah’s house. After half an hour of meeting, Raj Thackeray went back to the hotel.

The meeting between MNS Chief and Amit Shah continued for about half an hour.

Bala Nandgaonkar can be a candidate from Shirdi
MNS claimed 2 seats out of 3 Lok Sabha constituencies – South Mumbai, Nashik or Shirdi. These three seats are with Shinde’s group. BJP is ready to give one seat, because Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s permission was also taken, but BJP wants South Mumbai seat. Shinde Sena will not leave Nashik. Hence, a consensus can be reached on making Bala Nandgaonkar a candidate from the Shirdi reserved seat.

The NDA family is growing
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the strength of the BJP-led NDA alliance is increasing. Currently 38 parties are included in the NDA along with the BJP. Just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tamil Nadu, the state’s Patali Makkal Katchi (PMK) also joined the NDA. Now there is talk that MNS may also join the NDA alliance.

Raj Thackeray did not field his candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections but campaigned against the BJP in various places in the state.

Got an offer from Sharad group, he said- consider this
On the other hand, an MLA from Sharad Pawar’s group in Maharashtra, Rohit Pawar has made an open offer to MNS chief Raj Thackeray. He said- Raj Thackeray is a great leader. They should think a little. Today the BJP needs them, that is why it gives them importance and will ignore them when they are not needed. So, we want them to think of coming together with Mahavikas Aghadi.

He left Shiv Sena 18 years ago
Raj Thackeray left Shiv Sena in 2006 and formed a new party, which he named Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Raj Thackeray’s party won 13 seats in the assembly elections in 2009. But after this the performance of his party continued to decline. In 2014, Raj Thackeray’s party could barely win a single seat.
