Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed on Thursday that incidents of violence have reduced by 70% in the last 10 years in Kashmir, the North East and the three hotspots affected by Naxalism. After inaugurating the new office building of the Ahmedabad Commissioner of Police and the Joint Investigation Center (JIC) in Shahibaug, he said that the number of deaths due to such incidents in these areas has also decreased by 72%.

Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, also claimed that once the necessary infrastructure is in place to implement the three new criminal laws, people will get justice within three years from the filing of the FIR to the hearing. In the Supreme Court will go.
