Narkatiaganj SDPO Jaiprakash Singh said that this action was taken on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Shaurya Suman. He said that the police received information that a huge amount of drugs was about to be smuggled. Based on the information, a team was formed. A police force was included along with Manpur Police Station Commander Ajay Choudhary, SI Sudhir Kumar Thakur and Yatindra Kumar.
The policemen who were included in the formed team were in civilian clothes and set up a block at the turn of the Herardia of the police station area in Manpur. During this time, Muna Patel and Rambabu Kumar, riding a Bolero vehicle, reached the vehicle at speed. The policemen stopped the vehicle but they did not stop and then the policemen chased them and caught them. During the search, 69.61 kg of ganja and 1 kg of hashish were found in the vehicle. The police arrested the two smugglers who were traveling in the car. On the basis of the two arrested smugglers, the police launched a search operation and caught the Itan four-wheeler at some distance and also arrested Arjun Kumar who was riding in it.
SDPO said that charas and ganja are brought through Nepal. The smugglers who were arrested disclosed this in their report to the police. He said that Muna and Rambabu were carrying charas and ganja in boleros. Arjun moved forward in his car and gave information on his mobile that there was no threat from the police. Smugglers said that the shipment of ganja and charas was supposed to be taken to Muzaffarpur. There was another party to whom the payment had to be made.
