3 people arrested for taking bank loan by using fake documents
Kolkata: Police arrested 3 people who cheated by getting bank loan through fake documents. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Shakespeare Sarani police station. The accused have been identified as Deepak Prasad, Viblav Singh and Vishwajit Singh. The three were produced before the Bankshall court on Saturday, where the court remanded them in police custody till August 16. According to police sources, a few days ago, the management of the state-run bank filed a complaint against the accused for defrauding him of several lakhs of rupees. In its complaint, the bank has said that he pretended to be a permanent employee of BSNL and made a fake salACHI slip and deposited it in the bank. Subsequently, he took a loan of Rs. 4 lakh from the bank. It has been alleged that after taking a loan, he did not pay the installments. In this case, on examination of his documents, the bank found that he was not an employee of the company. In this case, a complaint was lodged at the Shakespeare Sarani Police Station after finding out that the fraud had taken place on behalf of the bank management. Police are investigating the matter.
