Today is the last date for registration of farmers for procurement of paddy in Umaria. As of Thursday, 13673 farmers have registered in the area. Deputy Collector Meenankshi Ingle said that there is a cooperative center in Umaria for registering farmers to procure paddy at support price in the district.

In which Primitive Caste Service Cooperative Society Limited Umaria, Chandia, Patharhata, (Koylari-2), Kodiya-22. Bilaspur Nighari, Pinder, Karkeli, Chadakhudai Seva Cooperative Society Manpur, Mayodit Primitive Caste Rescue Cooperative Society Barbaspur, Balhod, Naugawa, Garhpuri (Parasi) Panpatha, Umaria Bakeli, Kathar, Singudi, Indwar, Chilhari, Kotri, Amarpur, Bharewa, Salaiya, Kumharwar (Dodka), Punghutti, Chauri and Malachua committees have been made registration centers for paddy.
13673 farmers have registered themselves for procurement of paddy at support price in Kharif marketing year 2024-25. The registration work for selling paddy for free to farmers will be done until October 4, 2024.
