Tripoli (International Desk) By the way, the Eid moon is seen around the world on the 29th or 30th day of fasting, but the Libyan government ordered its Crescent Sighting Committees to see the moon for 28 days.

According to a report by Al-Arabiya Urdu, the government appointed by the parliament in Libya issued a statement to the Rawit Hilal Committees about a fatwa in this regard.

In a statement issued by the government, it was said that the committees should see the moon to observe the Eid-ul-Fitr moon on a specific date, ie 29 Ramadan, a day before that, ie 28 Ramadan.

After this order, if the moon is visible in Libya today, it will be Eid-ul-Fitr in Libya tomorrow, Tuesday.

Therefore, Ramadan in Libya will be 28 days and one fast will be obligatory.

Regarding the sighting of the moon a day ago, the Libyan government said that the declaration of the start of Ramadan is correct and beyond doubt, due to the confusion caused by some people when experiencing the moon of Ramadan this year and the witnesses before the courts. In view of the inadmissibility of the evidence, it was ordered to see the Shawwal moon on the 28th of Ramadan.

It should be noted before the start of Ramadan, a debate arose over its moon. Two astronomers from Saudi Arabia and Egypt had predicted seeing the Ramadan moon on Sunday, March 10. However, the well-known website Moon Other astronomers from the world, by including Siting, said that it is not possible to see the moon anywhere except the islands of the Pacific Ocean on Sunday.

However, the website “Time and Date” noted that the moon, at sunset on Sunday, March 10, would be in a position from which it would be visible in Libya, including Arab countries.

Despite this, unlike Arab countries, Ramadan started on March 12 instead of March 11.
