If the amount of the fine is not deposited, the defendant will be ordered to serve an additional simple prison sentence of two months. This sentence was decided in ST 336/2021. On behalf of the government, APP Prabha Kumari said that the incident took place on March 16, 2019. Accused Alam Mastan entered India from Nepal along with his associate Zubir Alam with 5 children through a maize field near post number 158/43 of Indo-Nepal border.

Hearing the screams of the children, SSB personnel arrived at the scene. During this period the two accused began to run away leaving the children behind. SSB jawans chased them and caught both of them. Case No. 33/2019 was registered at Basikti Police Station on the written request of Sub Assistant Jagdish Singh of SSB Sonpur in the matter. In court, DLSA panel advocate Vineet Prakash, on behalf of the accused Aleem Mastan, and advocate Rajesh Kumar Singh, on behalf of the accused Mohammad Zubir Alam, presented their sides. Also, an order was issued to adjust the sentence to the period of stay in prison.
